DotGolf seeks a dynamic individual to join our talented team based in Albany, Auckland. We are looking for someone to act as the final gatekeeper in our release pipeline. This role is a combination of manual and automated testing as well as test suite development in a framework such as Playwright. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal command of the English language, great people skills, and an eye for detail. A solid understanding of computer science and software engineering processes would be advantageous. Knowledge of the game of Golf, club administration or SaaS based systems would be helpful, but not a requirement.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional product and development teams on technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.A mixture of manual testing and automation workAutomated test engineering:Implement automated testing using tools like Playwright (or similar best practice tools).Develop utilities and test scripts.Monitor automated test executions.Maintain and expand automated regression test suites.Manual testing:Design and document test plans, cases and scenarios.Perform manual testing per plans.Document defects when discovered (Jira) for our devs to investigate and fix.Efficiently relay findings with our development team so that regressions/bugs can be fixed in a timely manner.Skills and Tools:Playwright (preferred), however Selenium, XUnit and other industry-standard automation tools and frameworks would be advantageous.Jira, Trello, Freshdesk, Figma for documentation/designs.Scripting and programming languages.Github (for source control).Agile and Scrum methodologies.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.Working knowledge of SQL.Office365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience and Other Requirements:Proven experience in software manual and automation testing.Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.Excellent command of the English language – efficient communication and teamwork is critical in this role.About DotGolf:We are a specialist IT company operating in a niche space, with market leading cloud based solutions servicing the golf industry.
