You will manage high-value projects through all phases of the lifecycle, ensuring strategic alignment with programme objectives and organisational priorities.A key focus of this role is proactive risk mitigation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, particularly under NZS 3910/NZS 3916.
You will oversee financial management, contract administration, and governance reporting, maintaining strict adherence to quality assurance, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
You will also contribute to investment planning by gathering and analysing critical project data to support business cases and funding decisions.
Your insights will help shape long-term infrastructure strategies, ensuring informed decision-making and alignment with organisational objectives.As part of the Water Infrastructure Programme Management Team, you will engage with senior leaders, consultants, and contractors to drive successful project outcomes.
You will identify and manage project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
Additionally, you will contribute to developing team capability and mentoring junior project professionals to support a high-performance project environment.To be successful in this role, you will bring:Significant experience delivering large-scale water infrastructure or civil construction projects.Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.Adaptable and proactive in identifying and mitigating project risks.Financial acumen with a proven ability to interpret construction drawings, particularly in water infrastructure projects.Experience managing contracts under NZS 3910/NZS 3916, ensuring compliance and effective administration.Proficient in best-practice project management methodologies, tools, and techniques - Aconex familiarity advantageous.Flexibility to travel as required.The mid point of the salary range is $147,765 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $125,601 - $177,318 per annum.
