Tax Specialist - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Specialist to join our busy Christchurch Office on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role of a Tax Specialist is to: Provide taxation and relevant advice around Group tax obligations and compliance, both in NZ and overseas Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and financial statements Act as a subject matter expert for both indirect and direct taxes, including transfer pricing Implement best practice in reporting and fulfilling statutory obligations On offer is: Centrally located office Annual Leave + Kiwi Saver Ongoing Support and Training Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) We want you to be successful in this role, and to do that, you will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics or a related field, as well as having an Accounting Professional Qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent). Alongside: 3-5 years of experience with Tax Accounting and Management in a medium to large organization 3-5 years of experience in an intermediate/senior level role, at a Professional Accounting Services firm with significant interaction with large complex clients Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks to maximize outcomes Ability to communicate technical information for key stakeholders to understand and further develop relationships Strong technical skills Strong communication skills – both written and verbal Ko koe pea tenei? - Sound like your kind of role?
