This is a key role for our region, as you will manage and lead project delivery of Civil Construction projects ensuring the profitable, compliant and efficient delivery of the works.This role offers diversity, challenge, and an ability to make your mark. You will have a strong focus on people leadership and development, managing key stakeholder relationships, and have operational and financial accountability.In addition to the above you will:Set project estimates for resource use and cost, manage the project to meet or exceed margins / profitEnsure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulationsMaintain customer / client relationships and find innovative ways to add value to our customers and meet expectationsSubcontractor and Supplier ManagementPrepare a specific programme to achieve the construction dates and milestonesLead and champion Fulton Hogan best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, customer relationship management on all projectsGood Work equals Good BenefitsCompany vehicle provided in this positionMedical insurance for you and your whanauLife insurance from day oneKiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%Fuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.We're looking for someone with:Minimum 5 years' experience in managing the delivery of projects over $2 million plus in the Civil Construction industryHolds relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Engineering) or equivalent practical experienceFull class 1 driver's licenceProven client building relationship and management experienceStrong financial management acumenSolid experience with job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin / profit calculationsKnowledge of underlying engineering principles that represent good practice with NZ CivilFamiliar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts, Working towards CCS training as Project Management toolCompetent users of Word, Excel and ProjectCreating, Connecting and caring for the communityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
