Located at our Head Office in Manukau, this role is full time, working Monday to Friday with free car parking available.
Working for Harvey Norman means you will be part of a cohesive, hardworking, and fun team and take responsibility for:
Reconcile assigned trade supplier statements monthly.Research discrepancies to ensure accuracy and resolution of issues prior to processing.Liaise with relevant store Administration teams and Managers to follow up on outstanding queries to ensure accounts are processed in a timely manner.Contact suppliers for copies of outstanding invoices/credit notes, and regarding issue(s) arising from the reconciliation of the statement, following through until the issue(s) are resolved.Support other team members as required, particularly during half year end and year end.You will be the type of person who is self-motivated, focused on resolving supplier account issues in a timely manner, continually finding ways to improve and be more effective.
You will genuinely enjoy reconciling and making sure everything is correct and accurate.
The attributes we are looking for include: At least 1 year accounts payable experience in medium to large enterprises involving multiple business sites, including reconciliation of supplier statements.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and critical thinking skills.Strong mathematics skills; numbers astute.Excellent communication and people skills.Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and control own workload in a fast-paced, often pressured, deadline-driven environment.Strong organisational skills.
Comfortable performing repetitious tasks on a monthly cyclical basis.Investigative mind with solid judgement, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks.
