We are on the hunt for our next full-time barista for our cafe, Little PomsThe role is a permanent position and is 5 days a week with all weekend work. The days off will be Thursday and Friday, totaling 38 hours per week.This role requires you to be a bit of an all-rounder with the ability to work on the machine on busy weekend days.The successful applicant will have / be:Can make 300+ coffees & can show experience of thisExcellent table service experience (this includes carrying three plates and understanding flow of service)Ability to run the floor sole chargeA strong team playerInitiativeHonest and reliableFast, efficient, and accurateConfident attitudeRoom for growth in rolePrimary Responsibilities:Making and running the coffeeKeeping your area clean and tidyOpening and closing of the machineMaking sure you are restocked for the following dayCoffee rotationMilk managementAssisting in weekly coffee orderingMaking chocolate for hot chocolatesSecondary Responsibilities:Answering phone callsTaking bill paymentsCleaning the back bar and the workspaceKeeping the countertop and pass cleanClearing dirty plates/cups from tables as you deliver coffeeThis position is fast-paced and requires experience as we are a high-volume cafe with a great reputation for our food and service.Included in job:Base medical cover4 weeks annual leaveMeal on shiftCoffeesChristmas offWeekly payrollHow do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a barista?Do you have customer service experience?
