Head Medical is seeking Post Foundation doctors (RMO/SHO) for rotational opportunities located in Whangarei, New Zealand.
You will join a supportive team with access to a number of teaching and educational opportunities.Range of rotations including General Medicine, Assessment Unit, Emergency Department and moreRelaxed lifestyle in a subtropical climate just 2 hours from AucklandGateway to the beautiful Bay of Islands, world class diving and sailing, and other relaxing lifestyle optionsSalary NZD $94,300 -$121,284 (depending on experience)The RoleThe Hospital is a 246 bed Regional hospital providing secondary care services to a population of approximately 194,000.
Due to the geography of the region, the hospital also provides services to a large rural region.This is a great opportunity for doctors keen to further broaden their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.
You will have the opportunity to rotate through:General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Assessment Unit, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Relief.There is an active clinical training programme with didactic sessions, interactive based teaching, journal club and video conferencing.The LocationWhangarei is called the "Meeting place of the Pacific" because of its many international yachting visitors and the Northland region boasts some of the most scenic and exciting coastal areas of NZ in a subtropical climate.
Its rich in Maori and European history, some of the oldest traces of Maori settlement can be found here and newcomers will experience a real connection with the culture and way of life.With its high sunshine hours and fantastic natural environment, including white sandy beaches and native forests, it has the reputation of being one of the country's premier tourist and lifestyle destinations, and is a popular holiday choice for both Kiwis and international visitors.
