About the team | Ko te ropu neiThe Three Waters Unit is responsible for the delivery of the capital works projects and the rebuilding of the Council's Three Waters infrastructure.
The Wastewater Capital Delivery team is responsible for the delivery of an extensive capital works programme across Christchurch City and Banks Peninsula.About the role | Ko te mahi neiThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management of projects/programmes that involve a large degree of process, stakeholder management and programme governance.
You will be recognised as a subject matter expert in wastewater process controls and 3 Waters Pump Station mechanical and electrical systems.You will be providing end to end services including but not limited to the effective management of project initiation, scope, time, cost, quality issues and risks, as well as technical process and SCADA skill, and project reporting through to the operational handover of the project to the sponsor / asset owner(s).The role will predominantly be based at the Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bromley.
A thorough working knowledge of wastewater primary and secondary process control and associated mechanical and electrical systems is essential.
Demonstrated skills in optimising wastewater process control is advantageous.You will bring with you a sensible, pragmatic approach to the project, operating with a culture of urgency.
Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and multi-disciplinary teams will allow you to navigate the complexities of this environment.
You will also bring with you:An undergraduate university degree (e.g.
Process/Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering).Extensive industry experience in mechanical and electrical operations of large processing plants or waste treatment facilities.Proven ability to communicate, direct and work closely with our suppliers to effectively deliver projects and solutions, on time, to specification and budget.Previous experience managing project teams.Well-developed professional writing skills enabling you to translate technical information to a non-technical audience.Proven track record of successfully delivering large multi-faceted infrastructure projects within the required time, scope and budget.What's in it for you?
