The Opportunity Due to an internal promotion we're seeking a passionate and innovative Product Development Technologist to join our dynamic Research & Development team in Auckland.
This is your chance to step into a technical hands-on role where you'll craft the next big thing in baking, working with a team that thrives on creativity and collaboration.
The Role As a key player in our baking R&D team, you'll work hands-on to develop groundbreaking products for both International and Domestic markets.
You'll create and refine recipes, support product trials, and ensure our systems run seamlessly to keep production at its best.
Your responsibilities will include: * Creating lab concepts and preparing bench-top samples to support product innovation.
* Conducting trials to maintain quality standards and support production improvements.
* Collaborating on product improvement, cost-saving, and new development projects.
* Maintaining our recipe development systems and conducting sensory testing.
* Supporting our R&D audited quality systems and Continuous Improvement processes.
* Traveling to sites to assist in production trials as needed.
About You You'll be the perfect fit if you're a creative problem-solver with baking expertise and a background in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or Food Nutrition.
We're looking for someone with: * Proven experience in a Product Development role, ideally within the baking industry.
* A degree in Food Technology, Science, Engineering, or Nutrition (essential).
* Strong communication and relationship management skills.
* The ability to balance independent projects with collaborative teamwork.
* Mandarin proficiency would be a bonus for our team but not essential.
