The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, partners, suppliers, and schools to coordinate deliveries, manage inventory, and implement safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:Logistical Oversight: Manage forecasting, ordering, receiving, storing, and dispatching of food products. Plan and coordinate the cold chain distribution between the centralised manufacturing site, regionalised storage locations and service delivery sites from the far North to the deep South.Health and Safety Management: Develop and maintain health, safety, and food safety policies. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across the distribution network. Lead training programmes and manage emergency response and business continuity plans.Administrative / Financial Duties: Maintain records, prepare reports, and assist with daily operational activities. Handle billing procedures, process receipts, and prepare dispatch reports. Coordinate invoice reconciliation and complete month-end procedures.Relationship and Customer Engagement: Ensure our customers feel valued and safe by coordinating a network of distribution activities to be delivered on-time and safely. Form lasting relationships with internal and external network partners to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.Operational Excellence: Introduce lean methodologies to maximise operational savings and efficiencies.
