Job Title: Senior Snowflake Data Engineer (DBT & CI/CD)Location: Auckland or WellingtonType: Full-Time - ContractJob Description:We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with strong experience in DBT and CI/CD to join our data team.
This role involves building and optimizing Snowflake data pipelines, automating data transformations with DBT, and managing CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, high-quality data workflows.Key Responsibilities:Design and optimize Snowflake data models and schemas.Build and maintain DBT transformations.Manage and automate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
).Develop ETL processes for data ingestion and integration.Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with BI and analytics teams.Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure data quality.Requirements:5+ years of data engineering experience, with 2+ years in Snowflake.Strong expertise in DBT and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.Familiarity with ETL tools and large-scale data integration.Preferred:Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with data governance and security practices.Ready to make an impact in a growing team?
