The New Zealand Permanent Mission in New York (Mission) represents the New Zealand Government at the United Nations (UN). By building and enhancing relationships with UN member states, the UN Secretariat and Agencies, and other key stakeholders, the Mission is responsible for fulfilling the Government's multilateral priorities and international obligations. The Mission takes a distinctly New Zealand approach that reflects our interests and values, including our country's culture, diversity and heritage. This role also assists the New Zealand Defence Force's Military Adviser to achieve their interests at the United Nations.
The Mission is seeking an Executive Assistant to the New Zealand Defenc Force's Military Adviser (MILAD) and Team Administrator to work as part of the Mission's Administration team.
About the role - Korero mo te turanga
Working to the Mission's Military Adviser (MILAD) and Administration Manager, this role is responsible for:
* Provide administrative services to the Military Adviser (MILAD), including managing invitations, scheduling appointments, liaison of guests, drafting of correspondence, managing budgets and finance, and other duties, as required for 50% of the time.
* Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the wider policy team, as required including managing visitors, events, accreditation and other front line support as required.
* Contribute to the support and planning for official visits, including preparation of programmes, making appointments, and arranging transportation and logistics.
The appointment range for this role is USD$53,005 - $71,713 total remuneration. In addition to remuneration, full health insurance, including vision and dental, is offered.

* At least three years' experience as an Executive Assistant, Team Administrator, or similar administrative role.
* Experience in management of budgets and finances for a busy executive.
* Demonstrated experience in time management and prioritization is a must.
* Experience with organizing visits or events.
