Twofold Brewery & Restaurant is fast becoming the go-to place in Parnell for people to get together for a good time and great beer.While we have a focus on delicious house brewed beer, interesting wine selection, cool cocktails and thoughtful food, we're here to be part of the community and want to create an inviting & inclusive atmosphere and all around great experience for our customers.What we need:We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Venue Manager to help shape the business and lead our FOH team.Reporting directly to the Owners, the Venue Manager will be a leader and work with the team to enhance the customer experience, providing guests with the warmest welcomes possible, a high level of service to a variety of customers and be as passionate about hospitality as we are about food and beer.As an owner-operated business we're keen to work with someone who wants to build a team, create a great customer experience and have some funWhat we want from you:The ability to lead a team of Front of House employees and establish a training program.To build good rapport with our local customers.Organise the FOH staffing roster, work with the owners to manage and run the reservation system and motivate our team members during service.Take and manage group bookings and help plan special events.Provide skilled, efficient and knowledgeable bartending, beer and wine service when required.Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials and sharing this in pre-shift meetings before each service.Continuously provide support to all service staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed.Responsible for opening or closing of the restaurant and coordination of floor and bar opening and closing procedures.Applicants should have:A current Managers Certificate.Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.High level of bartending, beer, food and beverage knowledge.Ability to handle and lead during high stress situations.Proficiency with Onetap, Loaded, Nowbookit, POS systems.Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays a must.Successful Applicants will earn:The ability to learn more about beer ingredients, brewing and food pairing.The chance to help grow the culture at a new company.The opportunity to build and lead a team.Competitive pay + a Paid Incentive Programme.Staff meals and discounts.A fun and balanced work environment.Growth opportunities within the business.If you are enthusiastic about hospitality and keen to be part of a community, this is an incredible opportunity to join this passionate and fun family run business.To include with your application:What is your favourite spot for great hospitality in Auckland?Your application will include the following questions:How many years of people management experience do you have?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Front of House Manager?Do you hold a current New Zealand General Managers certificate?
