This role involves managing farm staff, contractors, and visitors, ensuring efficient communication with processors, and maintaining accurate reporting and record-keeping in line with ProTen and processor standards.
Key responsibilities include ensuring animal welfare, adhering to hygiene and biosecurity protocols, analyzing farm data for performance improvements, and managing production, safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
The Production Manager will also drive continuous improvement and oversee general administration to ensure farm productivity and performance.
We are looking for Farm Managers to lead the daily operations of our state-of-the-art, tunnel-ventilated broiler farms.
This role involves monitoring KPIs, managing a team of 6–8 staff, and driving continuous improvement in animal welfare, productivity, and quality.
The Farm Manager will ensure adherence to safety, biosecurity, and environmental standards, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, the role includes managing bird growing requirements and maintaining the highest standards of farm presentation and operation.
To thrive in this role, you'll need: Experience in managing broiler farm operations, strong leadership and team development skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach to farm management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving operational excellence, a commitment to SHEQ standards, and the ability to promote a positive WHS culture.
Physical fitness for farm duties is required, along with the right to work in Australia.
A pre-employment functional assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, will be conducted.
