Zespri kiwifruit is New Zealand's largest horticultural export, and it is distributed to over 54 countries worldwide.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and drive process improvement initiatives within our Innovation Project Management Office (iPMO).
This role is crucial in ensuring our PMO delivers maximum value to the organization by streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and promoting best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, process improvement methodologies, and a passion for optimizing PMO operations.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage projects focused on improving PMO processes, including but not limited to:Project initiation and planningProject execution and monitoringRisk and issue managementReporting and communicationIdentify areas for process improvement (i.e.
automation and AI integration) within the PMO through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices.Develop and implement process improvement plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and success metrics.Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate PMO staff and the innovation team on new and improved processes.Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and buy-in for process changes.Monitor the effectiveness of implemented process improvements and adjust as needed.Maintain documentation of PMO processes and procedures.Contribute to the development and maintenance of PMO methodologies and best practices.Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies in project management and process improvement.Manage project budgets and resources effectively.Report regularly on project progress and outcomes to PMO & innovation leadership.Provide general support as required to the IPMO and innovation leaders to achieve targeted innovation outcomes.Help drive a culture of innovation across the broader innovation team, including modeling behaviors and values.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, with a focus on process improvement within a PMO environment.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionProject Management and Information TechnologyIndustriesFood and Beverage Manufacturing
