Overlooking the Tasman Sea to the west and Mount Taranaki to the East, Chalmers Home has arguably one of the best rest home outlooks in the country.Mo te turanga - About the roleWe have a Health Care Assistant role to fill in a hospital-level care capacity for afternoon shifts.
We work with a fixed roster so you can plan ahead, but the ability to offer some flexibility to pick up additional shifts, to provide cover in the home is always welcomed.
So get in touch and have a chat with us, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesAs a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements.
Your key responsibilities will be:Deliver the highest standard of personalised care to every residentSupport and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselvesAssist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of WellbeingTake instruction and tasks from the Registered NurseEnsure resident's needs are attended to effectively and in a timely mannerMo koe - About YouSkillsAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised; with great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.
You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
