I am currently partnered with a project management consultancy based in Auckland who specialize in the successful delivery of construction projects. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team.The Role:As a Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of project management and contract management practices, with a proven ability to handle complex projects efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities:Project Management & Coordination: Oversee and manage construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all project goals are met.Contract Management: Demonstrate a thorough understanding and practical knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts. Fulfill the role of Engineer to the Contract's Representative as required.Design & Planning: Coordinate design processes, ensuring that all necessary resource and building consents are obtained. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare and manage budgets, track project costs, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial targets are achieved.Procurement & Tender Management: Manage procurement processes, including tendering, to ensure the selection of suitable contractors and suppliers.Team Management: Lead and support the project team through both the design and construction phases, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project success.Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience in project management within the construction sector.Solid understanding of project management principles and contract management practices.Extensive knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts and experience in fulfilling the Engineer to the Contract's Representative role.Demonstrated expertise in design coordination, planning, and obtaining necessary consents.Strong skills in project planning, programming, budgeting, and cost management.Experience in procurement and tender management processes.Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing project teams effectively.Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders.Salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience.
