Contract: Full time/part time, fixed term Feb 2025 - Aug 2025, Aug 2025 - Feb 2026 or 12 months from Feb 2025 (Dates can be flexible)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dynamic General Medicine Physician (or fellow) or General Medicine Physicians with sub-specialist interest (Endocrine, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and Respiratory, but all subspecialties will be considered).
You will have a strong commitment to comprehensive care encompassed within General Medicine including ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and acute call.
We have a team of physicians and sub-specialty opportunities to suit most people; however, we provide a wide range of experiences in the types of patients that you will see due to all medical patients being admitted under the general medical team, other than cardiology.
Hutt Valley prides itself as being one of the top training centres for general medicine in New Zealand.
Vocationally registered in internal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register with the MCNZ
Open to advanced trainees who are eligible for a fellowship position
Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
Relevant experience and training
