t?nei t?ranga mahi - About this roleIn this role, you will provide clinical internal medicine services to clients of the Equine Veterinary Clinic within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as well as provide clinical and more formal teaching to veterinary undergraduates and residents.
Research is not expected in this position, but opportunities may be available to be involved in research or pursue research projects should the candidate wish to do so.
Depending on the appointment level, you may also contribute to course coordination, clinical roster leadership and organisation of clinical teaching, and mentorship of academic staff.
You will work alongside a friendly, talented, and experienced team of veterinarians and technical staff.About you - Ko koe t?neiPrevious work experience in equine internal medicine in a referral practice is required, and teaching experience is desirable.A specialist qualification in Equine/Large Animal Internal Medicine or eligibility to sit an examination in the aforementioned is required.You must be eligible to work and live in NZ.Veterinary professional degree, e.g., BVSc, DVM, VMD etc.
from an AVMA-accredited school or one recognised by the Veterinary Council of New Zealand to enable full registration in New Zealand as a veterinarian.The salary range spanning both roles is $81,172 - $143,948 (NZD).
