About the role
Based in our Pacific Door Systems business in Wellington, the Financial Accountant is critical to our organisation. We're seeking a Financial Accountant with previous accounting experience who wants to work with other like-minded, enthusiastic people in our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of all functions within Accounting and Finance.
Further, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with month-end close and reporting, including variance analysis, Balance sheet & GL account reconciliations.Preparation of company income tax returns, FBT, GST and payroll tax and the lodgements, weekly Payroll data validations, payroll journals and payroll related liability accounts.Revenue completeness, monthly project claims, project reconciliation where necessary.Assisting with internal audits & financial year-end audits, Hyperion (Assa Abloy global) reporting.Assisting business with financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and other management reporting assignments, budgeting process and quarterly forecasts, weekly sales/EBIT forecast process.Managing the fixed assets register as per company policy.Preparation and capitalisation of New Capital Projects and Working in Progress.About you We are seeking someone who has strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well with systems and procedures. To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Minimum 3-5 years of commercial work experience.Experience in the manufacturing or industry is preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Strong desire to learn.Knowledge of NZ tax and payroll regulations.Must be CA, CIMA or CPA qualified.Familiarity with IFRS.Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with an ERP system.This is an exciting time to be part of a truly dynamic company and industry.
