Join the MidCentral Urology team based at Palmerston North Regional Hospital as a Coordinator, where the skills that you bring to the role will directly impact the quality and efficiency of patient care.This is a fixed-term 0.8 FTE role for one year and combines administration responsibilities with a central focus on coordinating service delivery across three sites - MidCentral, Whanganui and Wairarapa.About the roleAs the Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to work alongside the urology teams based at MidCentral, Whanganui and Wairarapa to implement the expansion of the Sub-Regional Urology Service and embed new processes and systems across all three districts.This role will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of the service and regional coordination of urology SMOs, nursing staff, patients, clinics, and theatre access, working in close partnership with the Operational Leads at each site with a particular focus on ensuring the effective and efficient running of the sub-regional urology service.Ensuring that the services agreed processes and systems are followed and that these reflect the organisational standards for service delivery, working collaboratively with Operational Leads and others as relevant to achieve compliance with the Health Target Plans across all three districts.This role demands a good understanding of health care in the Planned Care environment.About youTo excel in this role, you'll have:Proven experience in a complex coordination roleDedication to ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time, and in the right placeProven ability to be a problem-solver: Skilled in addressing barriers to service delivery and patient flow.Highly organised, honest, trustworthy and open to feedbackA strong collaborator: Able to foster effective teamwork and partnerships across disciplines/team roles and hospital sites.Commitment to equity: Demonstrated experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a healthcare settingWhy Join us?At Health New Zealand - MidCentral, support your professional growth and personal well-being with:Lifestyle benefits: Get the best of both worlds - the perfect blend of rural and city living with the mountains, city and sea at your fingertips, short commutes and a family-friendly community.About the Sub-Regional Urology ServicePalmerston North Regional Hospital operates the Sub-Regional Urology service across MidCentral, Whanganui and Wairarapa districts by providing acute, planned care, surgery, outpatient clinics and a range of diagnostic services.
