Refrigeration Technician

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our Site Engineering Team at ANZCO Foods Canterbury. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, commissioning new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. This position is a full-time permanent role based at our Ashburton Site in Seafield Road, reporting to our Site Services Supervisor. The hourly rate will be between $40-$45 per hour, dependent on experience.To ensure success as a Refrigeration Technician, you should have advanced knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, good mechanical skills, and excellent troubleshooting abilities. A top-class refrigeration technician expertly installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment with minimal downtime.Responsibilities:Processing and completing work ordersWorking with your Supervisor to ascertain equipment needsOrdering equipment supplies, repair modules, and sundries for the orderMaintaining climate control systems and refrigeration unitsObserving and testing newly installed systemsMaintaining stock levelsReplacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motorsInforming Supervisor of repair costs and alternate cooling optionsMinimum Requirements:Previous experience as a refrigeration technicianHVAC & Refrigeration certification (Ammonia and Freon)Braising and soldering skillsKnowledge of local building codesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematicsMechanical and diagnostic skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work outdoors in extreme weather conditionsPhysically fit - there will be some heavy lifting involvedWe deliver taste, nutrition, and wellbeing to the world with products made from New Zealand's finest beef and lamb.
