About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity is available in DGC's Product Development team for a Senior Product Development Technologist.
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, this role will focus on managing product development projects allocated for new and existing products as well as managing product formulation, specification set-up, and maintenance activities including managing and overseeing the successful completion of more complex projects.
About the day-to-day responsibilities: Product Development: Drive innovation and enhancements to meet market needs and regulations.
Monitor trends to inform strategies.Customised Ingredients: Oversee ingredient development and mentor team members.Project Management: Manage product development from concept to launch, including recipes, raw materials, and documentation.Technical Support: Provide technical expertise for evaluations, complaints, audits, and HACCP compliance.Specifications: Maintain and align product and manufacturing specifications with customer and team needs.Continuous Improvement: Enhance systems and processes, identifying and implementing improvements.Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety policies, hygiene, and GMP standards; participate in related activities.Contribute to and participate in a positive health and safety culture at DGC.About you: Tertiary qualification in Food/Dairy Science/Technology or Chemical Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience in product development.Expertise in formulating infant nutrition products, considering commercial and operational factors.Strong project management skills.Knowledge of human nutrition, especially for infants and young children.Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and manufacturing processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Effective time management and self-motivation.About the Benefits: Progressive organisation with a competitive market salary.Discretionary annual bonus.Employee Benefits Insurance covering income protection, trauma, and health.Equal opportunity employer with a diverse and multicultural workforce.The Right Opportunity for You?
