The OpportunityA nurse practitioner is an expert practitioner, providing independent advanced clinical nursing expertise for patients and their families / whanau who present to the Emergency Department.The Department is looking for a Nurse Practitioner who has experience in the emergency/urgent care/paediatric role.
Applicants will have the expertise to assist, direct and support the care of patients across all areas of emergency medical care, role modelling expert clinical skills, promoting best practice, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and providing education.
Successful applicants will be required to work across all areas of the emergency department, including the new external fast track area, and the children's emergency department.This role will require the post holder to be enthusiastic, have sound clinical knowledge and skills.
The ability to work weekends and evenings is essential.
Multiple, variable FTE, temporary roles are available.Minimum Requirements:Experience in emergency/urgent care/paediatric roles.Ability to assist, direct, and support patient care in emergency medical care.Willingness to work across all areas of the emergency department.Enthusiasm and sound clinical knowledge and skills.Availability to work weekends and evenings.Our OrganisationTe Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions.
