You will be responsible for bringing architectural concepts to life whilst considering aesthetics and functionality.Duties include:Leading the project team by inspiring, coordinating, and guiding the team, ensuring vision alignment, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high standards for project excellence.Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements, building codes, and industry standards.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality work within specified parameters.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.Prepare and present design proposals, feasibility reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to monitor construction progress, resolve issues, and ensure project alignment with design intent.Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing support and fostering a collaborative work environment.Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes and innovation.Skills & Experience:Registration via New Zealand Architects Registration BoardBachelors' degree in ArchitectureMinimum 3+ years' experience in an architectural studio environmentProficiency in CAD software (DKO uses ArchiCAD)Solid knowledge of relevant New Zealand building codes and standardsAdvanced drafting and graphic presentation skillsSolid communication, whether written, visual, or verbalAbility to work autonomously and collaborativelySolid organisation, time management and coordination.What We Offer:Work in an award-winning studio with a focus on equity and inclusionWork in a friendly, supportive, fun and creative team environmentOpportunities for career progressionExposure to projects across New ZealandProfessional membershipsEmployee Assistance Program to support mental healthWellness initiatives and social eventsGenerous parental leave policyRemuneration:Commensurate with experience and ability.How to Apply:Please send through a letter of application and a current resume/portfolio to ******.
