We offer a stimulating teaching, research and professional working environment in one of our three campuses: our main campus at Whakatane, Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Te Tai Tokerau (Northland).
For this position, our off-site location is Hamilton.We are looking for an experienced Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (depending on tertiary experience) to teach and co-ordinate papers and related responsibilities of the post-graduate doctorate programme, including doctoral supervision with a specific focus on research that is iwi, hapu, whanau and hapori-engaged.
This position can be 1x full-time or 2x part-time (0.5FTE).As part of the academic staff, you will be responsible for contributing to the teaching and supervision of students of the Professional Doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel and help in the continued development of the papers and curriculum at masters and doctorate level.Our successful applicant/s will have:Extensive tertiary teaching experience at post-graduate level, and experience supervising thesis students.A teaching qualification, adult teaching preferred.Experience monitoring, assessing and delivering Matauranga Maori, Kaupapa Maori, Te Reo Maori and/or Indigenous Studies and related papers and coordinating papers or programmes at post-graduate level.Demonstrated record of research and publications relevant to your discipline.A current unrestricted private motor vehicle licence.Knowledge of tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori capability is desired to be successful in the role.We offer a supportive working environment and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
