We are seeking an experienced registered health professional to join our Palmerston North Team as a AOD Recovery Practitioner working in a permanent role Monday to Friday.
This role can be either full time or part time.
You will: Hold a registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act or have a recognised qualification with a current registration and annual practising certificate.
(Social Work - Dapaanz - Psychology) Working towards a relevant degree and obtaining DAPAANZ Registration Follow the principals of Enabling Good Lives and Whanau Ora.
Be culturally responsive, and honour Te Tiriti principals of Rangatiratanga.
Have a good sense of humour.
Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions Experience working in the mental health and addictions sector or a relatable field with an understanding of professional boundaries and practice ethics.
Understanding of group dynamics and be confident and have experience in group facilitation ability to facilitate therapeutic groups.
Have a thorough understanding and ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques and various counselling modalities.
