Toi Whakaari is seeking an experienced student health and wellbeing professional for the role of Ringa Poipoi, Student Health and Wellbeing.
The primary objective of this role is the care, wellbeing, welfare and support of students as they progress through the kura.
Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School From our whare standing on whenua in Te Whanganui a Tara, we celebrate a whakapapa that spans more than 50 years.

ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to our Poukokiri Matauranga (Director of Academic) and Pouhapai Ahurea (Director of People, Culture and Operations), the Ringa Poipoi, Student Health and Wellbeing, position will work to ensure the very best outcomes for students.
Your role will also include; Pastoral care legislation - implementation of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021Student care, promoting an inclusive and safe culture across the kura learning environmentStudent wellbeing, developing an approach to maintain a strategic and transparent learner wellbeing and safety system for students that responds to their individual and diverse needsStudent support, providing and connecting students with access to networks across diverse communities, stakeholders and providers, referral pathways and escalation proceduresAwareness and promotion of safe health and mental health literacy, suicide and self-harm awareness, drug and alcohol awareness and healthy lifestyles for studentAdvocate in student disciplinary issuesAdministrationThe Ringa Poipoi, Student Health and Wellbeing position works across the Toi Whakaari community, including leadership, staff and our students.
This is a permanent role with a start date of 15 January 2025 and we are looking at it being part time (0.8FTE) worked across Monday through Thursday.
