About the Role We are looking for exceptional Healthcare Assistants to join the team.

A Healthcare Assistant is an integral part of our team of health professionals.
You will enjoy being busy and don't mind that the role can be at times physically demanding.
You will be hard-working and enjoy working in a well-established team.

In this role, you will be working across the Haematology service.
Either in the ward, service, day stay, or outpatients.
You will be responsible for:
Cleaning and tidying the ward/housekeepingStocking the ward with suppliesAssisting the nursing team with a variety of tasks on the ward.Ensuring that patients have the best experience possible.
Bring your positive attitude, caring and compassionate nature, and sense of humour to help us support our patients.
About the Service The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit is where patients receive specialised treatment for malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders treating patients from throughout the South Island.

About You Ideally experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similarAbility to work all shifts – Morning, Afternoon, and NightsPunctual and reliable with excellent time managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage wellEffective problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary teamInitiative and a proactive approach to workExcellent interpersonal skills and teamworkWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
