The current portfolio includes Gas, Electricity Supply, and Electrotechnology while also engaging with the wider construction and infrastructure sector. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in making a difference in these sectors and the sector as a whole.Our Relationship Managers are influential and strategic roles where you can make a real difference to the future of the businesses and people in these essential industries. Genuinely wanting to hear the voice of industry, our teamwork in partnership with their assigned sectors to understand what current and future sector skills requirements are necessary for industries to prosper. They also work to identify changes that impact our industry qualifications and standards. To find out more about what our Relationship Managers do, download the position description at the bottom of this page.Nga tino Pukenga/Wheako – Skills and experiences needed for the roleThis role would suit a self-starter with a genuine interest in people and the Construction and Infrastructure industries. Experience in some or all of the industries in this portfolio from previous roles in industry or industry training is preferred to make a running start in this role. Ability and proven experience at building effective relationships at strategic levels is important. Capability to drive forward identified workforce initiatives prioritised by our external advisory groups and ensuring industry representatives are identified and connected into the work of our teams is key.If you have:A background working in industry relationships, or similar positionsExperience engaging with various stakeholder groups to extract and analyse needs and requirements to achieve outcomesAbility to manage stakeholder expectations through quality relationshipsAbility to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and culturesSolid record keeping and data management skills, ideally with experience using CRMsAbility to be well organised, planned and manage multiple projects and initiativesKnowledge and understanding of the vocational education sectorWe'd love to hear from youPlease note the requirements for this role include the ability to travel and you must hold a full NZ driver licence.ValuesWe are a workplace that values and utilises diverse and inclusive thinking, people and behaviours.
