We innovate at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships to advance communities everywhere, so that together we can redefine what's possible.In addition to providing traditional engineering, design, and construction management services, we have experience with complex design-builds, alliancing, programme management, information technology, asset management, and business consulting.About The RoleYou will be based in any one of our key New Zealand offices.We are looking for a team player to strengthen our Electrical Discipline across New Zealand and deliver our existing backlog.You will be working on our industrial, power, hydro, and infrastructure projects, delivering challenging, multimillion-dollar and multi-disciplinary projects across New Zealand, North America, Australia, and the Pacific.You will contribute to the delivery of Electrical work packages, working as part of the project Electrical team under the guidance of a Principal Engineer.You will collaborate with Mechanical and Process engineers on multidisciplinary projects.You will have client-facing opportunities and site work which offers variety in daily tasks.This is your opportunity to grow or reinforce your abilities as an Electrical Engineer.This is an exciting opportunity for a professional engineer with a drive for further development and delivering projects collaboratively with clients and colleagues.What You Need To BringOur preferred candidate for this role will have technical experience in aspects of Electrical Engineering for infrastructure and industrial projects.An understanding and experience with electrical systems and infrastructure design in NZ or Australia.You will have experience in working to the requirements of relevant AS/NZS standards relating to Electrical Engineering areas that you can apply to project delivery.You will enjoy working as a team and communicate well with others.You will have proven experience in working in diverse teams and managing your own delivery.You will understand the tools, including Electrical CAD and modelling software.You will be comfortable dealing with external stakeholders including clients and utility companies.In this exciting position, your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical ones.You will be able to work with remote teams to deliver projects to local clients.Key requirements are a BE Electrical or equivalent, plus a minimum of 6 years professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.CPEng or equivalent is preferred but not essential.What We OfferAlong with a competitive salary we offer many other benefits to ensure your professional development & wellbeing is ongoing.Flexible Working Arrangements including purchasing up to 4 weeks additional leave and provision for school term contracts.Learning and Talent Development Programs including global programmes, online learning and on-the-job learning.Mentoring for your own development.Professional Memberships.Health Insurance – Income Continuance Insurance (ICI) – Life Insurance.Service Recognition Awards.Employee Assistance Program.About UsThe Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
