Higgins, a leading company in roading and construction, is looking for a Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our dynamic team.In this role you will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days during our peak season.What you'll do:Operate bitumen sprayers and other related machinery efficiently.Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, following all relevant regulations, industry best practices, and specifications.Manage bitumen operations including pre-start checks, heating, blending, storage, and production monitoring.Uphold safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.Assist in plant and machinery maintenance, quality control, and the continuous development of crew skills.What we're looking for:Solid experience in operating heavy machinery, especially bitumen sprayers.A thorough understanding of bitumen handling and associated equipment.Ability to follow plans and schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.Relevant licenses (WTR, Class 1-4, Dangerous Goods) are essential, and STMS qualification is a plus.About UsHiggins (part of the Fletcher Building Group) is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
