He angitutanga | About the role You will manage a variety of construction projects, ranging from visitor experience improvement work, high priority treaty partner projects, safety related work and asset replacements.
You will work as part of a small team to successfully deliver projects to planned scope, time, and budget.
The position will be focussed on: * managing projects: procurement, consultant management, consents, tendering, and construction contracts * maintaining project documentation, team, and governance reporting * using the Department's Project Management Framework for all project deliverables, including business case development and reporting * adhering to best practices in procurement, tender, contract, and supplier management.

If you the following, we are keen to hear from you: * experience in project management * practical skills in areas such as construction, building, maintenance, or plumbing, with the ability to take a hands-on approach when needed * the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholder * understanding or experience with statutory consents such as resource management act or building consents * a strong health and safety focus * proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office and phone apps for managing data and work programme * critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities * a valid full driving licence.
Desired: * experience with procurement, asset management and systems such as SAP * understanding of the work of Te Papa Atawhai * knowledge of the Northern South Island Region.
