Our mission is to maximise the potential of capturing and using clean power for all stakeholders, while staying true and committed to our values.As our project pipeline in New Zealand continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support the safe delivery of one of the largest Solar Farms in New Zealand.Ethical Power offers the opportunity to be part of a leading global team working on some of New Zealand's most innovative and large-scale renewable projects.
We value fresh perspectives and diverse experiences, which is why we actively seek individuals who bring unique ideas and a hunger for growth.We are looking for someone who can contribute to our success by:Overseeing day-to-day health and safety on a Utility-Scale Photovoltaic construction project.Conducting regular site inspections, managing and supporting investigations into accidents or near-misses, ensuring corrective actions and preventive measures are in place.Tracking and reporting safety performance metrics, analysing trends to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous safety improvements.Working closely with senior management and department heads to integrate safety into daily operations and lead safety initiatives across the project.Maintaining all relevant records and project documentation and serving as the primary point of contact for all health and safety matters on site.Promoting wellbeing on site for all workers through initiatives and conducting regular topical toolbox talks.You will be responsible for overseeing all health and safety programs within the project to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and a safe working environment for all workers.Your ability to deal with pressure, multi-task, and your high-level problem-solving and communication skills are all major competencies required in this role.
You must have the ability to interact successfully with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels and have excellent communication skills.This role is a full-time, site-based role in the Northland region on an 18-24 month fixed term contract, with opportunity to extend onto other projects within our pipeline.About YouMinimum 5 years' experience ensuring Health and Safety on large-scale construction projects; Civil or Electrical advantageous.An in-depth knowledge of relevant HSEQ regulations, standards and management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.
).Diploma or relevant Tertiary Qualification in Health and Safety from a New Zealand/Australian Education Institution.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.An engaging team player with the ability to foster a collaborative and positive Health and Safety Culture.What we offerA pipeline of large-scale projects.5 weeks annual leave.Medical insurance.If you are a driven and engaging Health and Safety Manager who is looking for a challenging and hands-on role with an established organisation, we welcome your application including your CV and cover letter.Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand permanent residency or a valid New Zealand work permit.
