Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the Role:Our Enrolled nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community, residential or hospital settings.You will:Contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau.Assist health consumers with the activities of daily living, observe changes in health consumers' conditions and report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competence.Work in a team in acute settings with registered nurses, enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants.Be accountable for your nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation, to your level of knowledge and experience.Work in partnership with health consumers, families/whanau and multidisciplinary teams.About the Team/Service/Location:Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. In return, you'll gain great work experience in a multidisciplinary team and the opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of surgical specialties.Our ideal candidate will:Be registered as an Enrolled Nurse under the HPCA Act 2003.Have a current Practising Certificate.Have competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
