Mechanical Draftsperson

The Position: As a Mechanical Draftsperson, you will play a key role in designing, drafting, and refining mechanical plans for HVAC projects.
Working closely with engineers and project teams, you'll ensure all systems meet client specifications, comply with industry standards, and contribute to sustainable building solutions.
You will be responsible for drafting HVAC components and ensuring design accuracy on a variety of commercial projects.
Responsibilities: Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs for HVAC systems using Revit (AutoCAD and Navisworks experience is essential) Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure the accuracy and compliance of designs with project specifications Update and refine designs based on client feedback and project needs Participate in site visits as needed to gather data and refine design precision Ensure all drawings meet relevant codes, standards, and regulations What We're Looking For: Up to 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, specifically within HVAC subcontracting (Tier 2, 3, and Tier 1 projects) Proficiency in Revit software, with experience in AutoCAD and Navisworks Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical service design principles High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive mindset Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Drafting (AMCA drafting accreditation preferred) Experience in drafting mechanical service projects up to $20 million, depending on experience What We Offer: We're looking for a Lead Draftsperson with HVAC experience to join a leading team in Melbourne.
Open to a variety of experience levels, this role offers a competitive salary between $100,000 - $150,000 depending on your expertise.
