We are a team of over 50 civil engineers, project managers and construction management professionals who work across a range of transformative infrastructure projects across Aotearoa, Australia and the pacific.
We provide civil engineering expertise to projects across almost all the key market segments Beca operates in – urban redevelopment/ streetscape upgrades, land development, roading and highways, industrial, buildings, water, power, ports, airports and rail.
No two days are the same with the variety of projects, geographies and clients we get to work across, and the opportunities for personal and professional growth are endless.
With a strong pipeline of work ahead and increasing opportunities in the market, we are seeking to add a few key pieces to our team to support our ongoing delivery and growth.Working with some of NZ's best civil engineers and designers to deliver flagship projects, you will:Lead and be involved in client relationship management, job delivery, proposal preparation, project planning and financial managementWork directly with clients and project partners, providing technical direction and design advice across various civil and multi-disciplinary projectsLead design teams, providing technical oversight, training and guidance to junior staffNetwork, develop andgrowrelationships with clients, industry groups,andthe wider business at BecaMou ake | About youYour passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects in a multidisciplinary business.
You will also:Be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with a strong track record of delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projectsHave experience in leading projects and interacting with clients in infrastructure projectsHave a broad civil engineering 'generalist' skillset – with significant experience working on the planning, design and construction phase support of a variety of different types of projects.
You will have experience in various civil sub-disciplines including stormwater design, three-waters, utilities, earthworks modelling and site grading, geometric design, pavements, construction monitoring and contract administration.
You will be familiar with relevant local standards, consenting and regulatory approval processes for infrastructure projects.Have experience using civil design and modelling packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, or 12D.
You may not be 'on the tools' anymore, but previous working knowledge of these packages will be critical to your role.Bring a 'can do' attitude and enjoy working collaboratively in teams.Be passionate about developing yourself, learning from others and supporting the development of our junior team members.
Previous people management experience will be advantageous in the role.Have experience managing commercials on projects and working directly with clients day to dayBe a self-starter – proactive and motivated to deliver great solutions for your clientsWe would love to know if you have worked on projects involving Three Waters Infrastructure, Utilities, site development or land transport.
