Clinical Psychologist for Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Service (ICAFS)Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley DistrictService: Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Service (ICAFS)Contract: Permanent Part Time (0.8 FTE)Salary: $85,000- $115,000 (depending on experience)ICAFS is seeking a registered clinical Psychologist to join our Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family specialty Team.
This is a permanent position joining our access team (Tautawhi).
The role will involve undertaking initial assessments to establish care needs and potential entry to service, alongside longer-term work in specific assessment and treatment with children aged 0 – 18 years, together with their families.ICAFS is a community-based team that provides specialist assessment and treatment for 0 – 18 year olds and their families/whanau.
We offer a range of therapeutic approaches and have two specialist treatment teams: family therapy (with a screening team) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
We have a large team of passionate clinicians, including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and psychotherapists that you would be working closely alongside.
Our clinicians have a range of experience and are known to provide excellent support to trainees, interns, and new graduates who frequently work within our service.The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure the provision of appropriate assessment and treatment.
The person suitable for this role will also have excellent clinical and case management skills and be comfortable with assessment.
The ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the District, the wider mental health services, and community agencies is integral to this role.Skills:Ability to provide high-quality psychological assessments and therapeutic interventionsExperience in risk identification and managementExperience in completing a range of psychological assessments at the initial assessment pointStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaborativelyPrevious experience in child and adolescent mental healthHold New Zealand registration as a Clinical Psychologist and be eligible for a current practicing certificateAbility to work autonomously and as an integral part of a dedicated, innovative, and friendly multi-disciplinary teamKnowledge of the CAPA system would be an advantageHere at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District, we embrace diversity and welcome applications from all people, including all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disabilities, and religions.
