Monica's is a busy daytime cafe that enjoys a sunny architecturally designed space along with a creative menu supporting local growers and small businesses alike.
Monica's Eatery is seeking a permanent Commis Chef to join their back of house team.
Responsibilities: Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen Preparation of menu items following recipes, taste testing, and evaluating food before service Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work, achieve goals and meet deadlines Ensure the use of high-quality ingredients and compliance with business and safety standards Stock management and ordering Minimum Requirements: Experience with food preparation and professional kitchen operations National Certificate in Cookery 1, 2, or 3 (preferred but not essential) The ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of the business Genuine passion for the hospitality industry Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs Ability to work calmly under pressure Willingness and desire to work as part of a busy team The Reward: We offer a competitive salary Daytime hospo work, no nights()
