About the Role We have multiple permanent and fixed term positions available (please indicate in your cover letter what you are seeking).
This will be based in our general x-ray team who work between Christchurch and Burwood Hospitals, covering all aspects of our busy 24/7 x-ray service including ED, outpatients, fluoroscopy, NICU and theatre imaging.
All roles will include day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

General X-ray has 100+ staff and 21 rooms spread across 3 main sites, but we pride ourselves on still being a close-knit friendly bunch.

Our roster is also fully MECA compliant with 1 in 4 weekends and never more than 7 days in a row.

We may not always take ourselves too seriously, but we have a serious dedication to our patients and to providing a high-quality general x-ray service across the 2nd largest district in the country.

In this role, you will be responsible for: Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service;Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate);The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes;Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriate.About You The successful candidates will demonstrate:
Solid experience of general imaging, preferably in a larger centre but this is not essential;A genuine passion for radiography.
You will demonstrate this when teaching the Ara students who we host for clinical placements;A strong work ethic and a dedication to teamwork;A strong commitment to both patient care and producing high quality imaging across ED, inpatients, outpatients, fluoroscopy and theatre;Experience of dealing with patients from a diverse range of backgrounds;Registration with the MRTB and a valid practicing certificate.You will be required to participate in a 24/7 rostered service including on call.
