What you'll do:As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Engineering Director will take the lead in shaping and driving ElectroNet Consulting's technical vision and innovation, setting the strategic direction of our engineering and design capabilities.You will lead, inspire, and empower our talented Market Leaders (Managers) across all of our Markets, including Transmission, Distribution and Generation.
Through guidance, support, and challenging conventional thinking, you'll drive the delivery and achievement of our strategic goals and ElectroNet Group's broader vision.In collaboration with the Market leaders, you will oversee, motivate, and guide our diverse team of engineers and draughtspeople, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.You will develop and execute our engineering and design strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and ElectroNet Consulting's continued success and position as a leading provider of engineering and design solutions in the energy industry.
Your leadership will drive operational effectiveness, build team capacity, strengthen client relationships, and identify innovative solutions to sustain our continued success.Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering, design and draughting teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence.Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback and professional growth opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.Ensure the quality of the engineering and design we deliver upholds and enhances ElectroNet Consulting's position as an industry leader.Represent ElectroNet Consulting at industry conferences and in industry forums as a technical leader of the company and the industry.Oversee team performance, efficiency and effectiveness.Manage resources, including workforce planning and development, to monitor and build the capability and capacity to effectively deliver services.Identify new engineering and design process tools required to ensure the technical teams deliver efficiently.What we are looking for:We're looking for a people-focused leader with experience either in a consultancy environment or the electrical energy industry in a leadership position.
A tertiary qualification in Engineering is preferred.
You'll bring strong leadership and change management skills, and commercial acumen.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships both internally and externally.
