With a proven track record and established business in Christchurch, the business has a solid pipeline of work and require an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with experience in vertical builds to join their experienced team.
Role The position is ideal for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with some initial commercial construction experience in New Zealand looking to take the next step in their career.
Key responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for tender Oversee construction costs and variations Monitor project profitability and track profitability against budget Manage the procurement process including competitive quotations and contracts Review all subcontractor tenders Established and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders Contract administration including contract documents, variations, and claims Work closely with the Commercial Manager Requirements The suitable candidate will have NZ experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor looking to work on more complex projects, seeking the ability to get greater exposure within projects, or seeking a more experienced team that can provide mentorship.
You will have a relevant construction/quantity surveying tertiary qualification.
A minimum of 4 years' experience providing accurate cost management, procurement and contract administration in the New Zealand or Australian commercial construction industries is essential.
