We are looking for people that share our vision by providing the best care for our people and our community.At Te Whatu Ora Taranaki, we are committed to recognising the value our people bring to our organisation within a supportive team of healthcare professionals that provide comprehensive care to our patients.About the RoleA permanent vacancy exists for a motivated and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team of 14 psychiatrists. You will work with a dedicated team of medical, nursing, and allied health staff primarily caring for people in a community setting with complex needs requiring specialist mental health services.Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health service (CAMHS) attends to clients from toddler ages up to 18 years. The team utilizes a variety of therapies and works in unison with local primary services for the best interest of our community.ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant services to people requiring specialist care.Interact daily with other departments.Mentor junior medical staff attached to the service.Work in a range of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.Cover for colleagues in their absence.Participate in an on call 1:10 roster.About YouYou will be known by your peers as someone who:Works well in multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care.Strives to improve the way services are developed and delivered.Has excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people.Engages with other providers, consumers, and health organisations.
