Chef De Parties

Tides Hotel Nelson (formerly Trailways Hotel) is looking for Chef de Parties to join our fabulous kitchen team. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for good food, proven experience in a restaurant or hotel, enjoy a busy kitchen environment, and are team players.
Full-Time Position
The hourly pay rate will depend on experience but will be anywhere from $28 per hour to $33 per hour. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and conference catering service.
Adhering to our food control plan.
Preparing and controlling each section you are designated to.
Ensuring all areas are clean and tidy.
Maintaining required standards of food preparation and presentation for room service.
Coordinating all orders and their quick and efficient distribution.
Accepting any other food items delivered to the kitchen.
Further responsibilities available on request. A minimum of 2 years kitchen experience is needed. Candidates should be professional, creative, and have a positive attitude along with a sound understanding of kitchen structure and operation.
Our restaurant is fast-paced, being open all day from 6:45 am - 9:00 pm and catering for our onsite conference and events center. We need someone who is honest, reliable, and flexible with hours, who can work a mixture of morning, day, and evening shifts (finishing around 9 pm / 9:30 pm).
