2 days ago, from Synlait Milk Limited (NS)The Senior Finance Project Manager will lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in financial processes. Focusing on enhancing work efficiency, process discipline and optimizing our planning and closing cycles. This role combines financial expertise and project management skills to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices.You will work closely with the CFO to gain further insight, understand each finance function and provide your recommendation to drive change. Having the ability to partner and influence change will be a key factor to the success of this position.Key ResponsibilitiesLead continuous improvement projects and act as the intermediary between the Finance and the business functions to ensure project deliverables can be met.In conjunction with Finance peers, develop, design, and implement effective and timely finance initiatives and solutions to improve business performance.Lead initiatives to implement best practices and innovative solutions that promote finance operational excellence.Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and discipline in financial processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives.Identify and drive opportunities for process enhancements within the finance department.Propose actionable improvements to streamline processes and reduce cycle times.Skills and ExperienceYou will have a CA/CFA qualification (or equivalent) and a proven track record in a similar role.Previous experience engaging with Executive teams and Boards in a larger mature organization.A solid understanding of the company's business drivers and the ability to provide advice; previous experience within the dairy industry is preferred.Strong ability to communicate capabilities and build a clear, long-term direction for the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).Proficient in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).About Us – The Synlait WaySynlait is a dynamic, purpose-led milk nutrition company that is Doing Milk Differently for a Healthier World We pride ourselves on being different and allowing our spirit to drive our success, shifting perceptions and driving value through new thinking and a new attitude.You'll be joining down-to-earth, authentic people working together to create the very best in milk nutrition as we combine expert farming with innovative thinking and state-of-the-art processing to produce a range of nutritional milk products for our global customers.We will challenge you by providing the opportunities you've been seeking to expand your career; we believe that everyone brings unique experiences and perspectives to the table, so we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and embrace diversity to drive innovation and business success.What We OfferHealth insurance cover + Partnered with top brands for great benefits and discounts.Excellent parental leave with our Matua policy + Flexible working options available.World Class manufacturing facilities and BCORP certified.Social Club membership opportunities.What's next?
