With your strong leadership skills and attention to detail, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting our team of checkout operators, providing guidance and training to ensure exceptional customer service. Your role will be essential in maintaining efficient and organised checkout processes, contributing to the overall success of our store. This is a full-time position based in Whitianga, Waikato.What you'll be doingSupervising and coordinating the work of checkout operators to ensure efficient and accurate checkout processesProviding training, support and guidance to checkout operators to maintain high standards of customer serviceMonitoring checkout queues and adjusting staffing levels as needed to minimise wait timesAddressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise at the checkoutEnsuring that all cash handling and reconciliation procedures are followed correctlyMaintaining a clean and well-organised checkout areaAssisting with inventory management and stock replenishment as neededContributing to the overall success of the store by supporting the broader retail teamWhat we're looking forPrevious experience in a retail or customer service supervisory roleStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a teamExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and record-keepingProficient in using point-of-sale systems and other retail technologyA friendly, customer-focused approach and the ability to provide exceptional serviceA passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality resultsWhat we offerAt New World Whitianga, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
