The Service | Ko Te Whare O CSTOur Community Support Service consists of 3 mobile teams supporting people in their recovery from mental health issues by offering a wide range of practical and empowering services.In Waitemata, we also provide Packages of Care to those who require higher levels of flexible and responsive support. These care packages are designed to navigate and coordinate a way through complex and challenging situations. Additionally, we also have a multi-lingual, culturally sensitive Asian Support team, who work with those whose English language skills are limited to help them feel part of the community and explain what services and agencies are available.Role | Nga mahiCommunity Support Workers are the key ingredient for successful client outcomes. Consequently, we provide ample and ongoing tools and encouragement to develop, grow and flourish in the role, striving to ensure an environment of learning, teamwork, and enjoyment.You will apply your skills and experience to work closely with those who are referred to us either through primary or secondary services. You will work alongside people with a mental health diagnosis to assist them in living, engaging, and thriving in a community of their choice.Effective communication and a person-centred approach are vital for this role as you will be working alongside clinical teams and other community agencies to ensure a wraparound service to the people we support.You will | Nga Pukenga Have/Working towards a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent Have the ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective. Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics. Have experience working in the area of mental health Full NZ Drivers Licence Valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship Have a passion for walking alongside those in need, supporting ongoing goals on the pathway to recovery.
