About this role | Mo tenei turanga * Permanent, part-time (0.4 FTE) * Taupo, Bay of Plenty We are looking for a part-time Physiotherapist to be part of a close-knit, community-focused team that maximises learning and promotes social inclusion for children and young people with learning support needs.
As a Physiotherapist, you will play a critical role in our region's Learning Support team by: * observing, assessing and working closely with children and young people with physical needs * building and strengthening the capability of those who are best placed to support the learning of children * identifying, setting-up and providing advice about the environmental changes, support, equipment and technology a child or young person may need * enhancing inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings * working as part of a trans-disciplinary team where a child's needs are complex.
This permanent, part-time role is based at our Taupo office offering a fantastic lifestyle and work-life balance opportunity working in one of New Zealand's great outdoor adventure locations.

Please note, the hours for this role are equivalent to two days per week (15.2 hours).
Applicants who live in the surrounding South Waikato, Rotorua or wider Bay of Plenty areas and are willing to commute may also be interested in this role.
Salary range: $69,966-$118,450 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mohou ake To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following capabilities and competencies: * a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, or its accepted equivalent as required by the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board * to be registered with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and to hold a current practicing certificate * the ability to apply specialist knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice in the development of appropriate interventions in inclusive educational settings * the ability to share knowledge and skills to empower both the individual learner and those supporting them * the ability to contribute your specialist skills and co-ordinate service provision within multi-agency, trans-disciplinary settings * excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with akonga/learners, whanau/families and kaiako/teachers across a diverse range of settings * the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga * a full driver licence * to be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident * The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
