About the Role Our Older Persons Physiotherapy Team are looking for an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join us as a Clinical Team Leader in the MSK cluster
This exciting opportunity will see you providing leadership and professional development to a large team of approximately 20 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants who are committed to providing exceptional quality of care to our patients.
The Clinical Team Leader is integral to our leadership team, working closely with our other Clinical Team Leaders, the Clinical Manager and Service Manager to lead and improve clinical services.
A core component of this position will be contributing to daily operational planning and service improvement initiatives over the Older Persons cluster, as well as holding a clinical caseload within the Older Persons Team.
You will carry a Clinical Caseload as well as a leadership role.
You will be eligible and have experience to be credentialed against the advanced practitioner framework.
You will also have a passion and drive for developing advanced practice roles in Orthopaedics including triage and specialist assessment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Providing professional and clinical leadership and support to staff within the clusterEnsuring the day-to-day provision of a high-quality clinical service within MSK servicesWorking closely with the leadership team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to identify and implement service improvement initiativesMaintaining a designated clinical case load in MSK OPSupporting and fostering the development of our Physiotherapy team membersAssisting the Allied Health Clinical Manager/Service Manager with the development, provision and monitoring of quality cost-effective clinical servicesAbout You We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join the team in this leadership opportunity.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated clinical excellence (a minimum of 5 years - experience post-qualification is desirable) and a keen interest in Older Persons HealthPrevious experience in leading a team and/or project management is highly desirablePrevious experience in an advanced practice role would be an advantageSound working knowledge of local, national and international health systems is strongly desiredExperience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to foster and support the development of a team both collectively and on an individual basis is advantageousAn interest in quality and service provisionCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthRegistration with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ and current APC is essentialWorking for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses'.
