We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated with a proven record in commercial construction and will play a crucial role in business growth and commercial success. We also specialise in education sector builds, fast-food restaurants, retirement villages, medical facilities, and refurbishments. With a foundation in family values and a team of skilled specialists, we prioritise understanding our clients' needs and building collaborative relationships including early contractor engagement procurement. This focus has resulted in a high rate of repeat business. Our commitment to continuous improvement through staff training keeps us at the forefront of construction best practices. Key Responsibilities: Tender Management: Lead the tender, estimation and budget process for all projects. Contract Administration: Prepare client claims, process subcontractor claims, price and process variations. Reporting: Manage expenditure and monthly retention reports to track performance across multiple builds. Leadership: Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment. System Improvement: Assist in the implementation and improvement of current systems and processes. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or similar. 10-15 years of experience in quantity surveying within the commercial construction sector. Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Independent, well organised with excellent time management, capable of driving QS for an SME. Experience with measuring software, ProCore and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
